STAUDINGER + FRANKE
Using sunken World War II battleship the USS Mohawk, Andreas attached the twelve photo exhibition to the iron where tiny marine organisms get inside the plexiglass giving the images an organic patina. Andrea first photographed the Mohawk two weeks after it sunk and then used those very images and superimposed onto them pictures of models dressed as they would have looked during World War II exploring themes of love, loss, and youth at a time when the world was at war. Located in Sanibel Island, just off the coast of Sanibel and Captiva - Florida.
